Responsibilities

  • Installs, maintains, and repairs machinery, equipment, physical structures, and pipe and electrical systems in commercial or industrial establishments.
  • Assembles, installs or repairs wiring, electrical and electronic components, pipe systems and plumbing, machinery, and equipment.
  • Inspects, operates, and tests machinery and equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions.
  • Repairs or replaces defective equipment parts using hand tools and power tools and reassembles equipment.
  • Determines how to correct mechanical problems by checking blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs.
  • Provides technical assistance on new or existing equipment.
  • Completes stock requisitions to maintain maintenance supply inventories.
  • Performs preventative maintenance procedures.
  • Performs Confined Space Entries following all necessary procedures and policies.
  • Assists in the removal of snow (shoveling, snow blowing, salting, truck plowing etc.).
  • Trains and participates as a member of the Company’s Fire Brigade Team and First Aid Team.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Minimum three years of related experience and/or training in equipment maintenance in a manufacturing setting; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Possess high mechanical ability and a working knowledge of plumbing, carpentry, welding, soldering, and other related skills.
  • Experience with both installing and repairing various industrial plumbing processes.
  • Able to communicate effectively in English both written and orally.
  • Valid driver’s license with no violations.

Physical Demands

  • Frequently required to walk and stand;
  • Use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls;
  • Reach with hands and arms;
  • Climb or balance;
  • Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 lbs;
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 lbs.

Pay

Hourly Pay: $24.00 - $31.00 DOE

Schedule

2nd Shift – Monday – Friday, 3:00pm-11:30pm

Ability to work overtime during the week and Saturdays.
