Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on simple/manual, semi-automated, and certain aspects of fully automated manufacturing equipment.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, controls, and electrical systems to ensure optimal equipment performance.
- Contribute to process optimization and scrap reduction through equipment design improvements and updates to operating and maintenance procedures.
- Independently troubleshoot equipment with a high degree of quality and reliability, implementing permanent corrective actions to eliminate recurrent problems.
Requirements
- A High School Degree or GED required.
- 2-5 years of troubleshooting experience with electrical, mechanical, hydraulic/pneumatic controls, and logic systems.
- Experience with PLC programming, Ethernet communication, DeviceNet, and industrial networks, particularly in regulated environments (pharma, biotech, defense, aerospace).
- Strong root cause analysis skills and experience supporting production and maintenance for medical devices.
- Experience with extrusion/molding equipment is a major plus.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and contribute effectively to a team environment.
