Maintenance Technician II

Job Summary

The Maintenance Technician performs diagnostic evaluations and repairs on hand tools, hydraulic tools, battery-powered tools, hoists, and hot sticks, ensuring all equipment meets quality and safety standards.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Splice fiber-optic cable drops
• Conduct inspections and perform diagnostic evaluations of tools
• Identify parts required to repair tools
• Assist in preparing tool repair estimates for customers and placing orders for repair parts
• Repair tools and perform quality control tests of repaired items
• Build custom rope products and ground sets
• Perform high-voltage testing
• Accurately enter data into computer systems and maintain required documentation
• Maintain a positive attitude and foster strong working relationships with customers and coworkers

Minimum Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Experience repairing hydraulic systems or tools
• Knowledge of safety practices and procedures
• Ability to lift heavy items and stand for extended periods
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment with minimal supervision
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent organizational skills
• Effective verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience repairing mechanical, battery, electric, and gas-powered tools
• Two to three years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
