Job Summary
The Maintenance Technician performs diagnostic evaluations and repairs on hand tools, hydraulic tools, battery-powered tools, hoists, and hot sticks, ensuring all equipment meets quality and safety standards.Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Splice fiber-optic cable drops
- Conduct inspections and perform diagnostic evaluations of tools
- Identify parts required to repair tools
- Assist in preparing tool repair estimates for customers and placing orders for repair parts
- Repair tools and perform quality control tests of repaired items
- Build custom rope products and ground sets
- Perform high-voltage testing
- Accurately enter data into computer systems and maintain required documentation
- Maintain a positive attitude and foster strong working relationships with customers and coworkers
Minimum Qualifications
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Experience repairing hydraulic systems or tools
- Knowledge of safety practices and procedures
- Ability to lift heavy items and stand for extended periods
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent organizational skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience repairing mechanical, battery, electric, and gas-powered tools
- Two to three years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
