Maintenance Technician II

Key Accountabilities

• Respond and attend to guest repair requests.
  • Perform repairs for plumbing, electrical and mechanical.
  • Troubleshoot issues to identify source of problem and recommend solution.
  • Perform repairs on landscaping, including sprinklers and pavers.
• Perform interior Villa maintenance to include:
  • Painting, lighting and pest control.
  • Aid with power washing for outside areas.
  • Identify and provide solutions for safety concerns/issues.
  • Perform basic inspection of elevators and doors.
  • Aid with landscaping maintenance.
• Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards.
  • Anticipate and address guest needs.
  • Thank guests with genuine appreciation.
  • Open venues in the morning (AM shift).
  • Provide vehicle training for volunteers.
• Perform additional activities such as:
  • Train and mentor Engineer I.
  • Perform Engineer on Duty responsibilities, including conducting rounds and performing readings.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform wall maintenance and repair.
• Ability to perform mid-level troubleshooting/repair of all hotel mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Basic knowledge of air conditioning, refrigeration, pneumatic/electronic systems and controls, carpentry and finish skills, kitchen equipment, vehicles, energy conservation and general building management.
• Ability to interact well with guests in order to deliver excellent customer service.
• Ability to initiate actions based on one’s own interpretation or understanding of a situation.
• Demonstrate keen attention to detail and quality product.
• Ability to communicate, understand, speak, read, and write English to communicate with guests, staff, and vendors.
• Basic computer skills.
• Maintain acceptable attendance and punctuality requirements.
• Ability to operate a motorized vehicle, including battery-operated golf cart.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• High School Diploma.
• 3-5 years of related experience.
• Vocational training, preferred.
• Hospitality experience, preferred.
