Maintenance Technician II

Responsibilities

• Ensures all residents live in a safe, clean, and healthy environment.
• Maintains compliance with regulatory standards for all buildings and equipment.
• Performs daily tasks as assigned, including mechanical room checks and preventive maintenance.
• Completes incident reports and maintains accurate documentation.
• Participates in data collection and reporting to improve outcomes and service delivery.
• Attends mandatory staff meetings and completes required training.

Requirements

• No formal education required, but at least 1-year practical work experience in building repair and maintenance is preferred.
• Valid Indiana driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Minimum age of 21 for licensure requirements.
• Clear of felony convictions and substantiated charges of neglect.
• Favorably meets and maintains Damar’s background screening.

Qualifications

• Basic working knowledge of building and grounds maintenance.
• Ability to perform basic applications of building repair and maintenance.
• Availability for 24-hour on-call duty for emergencies.

Skills

• Verbal intervention and physical management techniques.
