Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical equipment.
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
- Inspect machinery and equipment to identify wear, defects, misalignment, and operational issues.
- Dismantle, repair, and reassemble machinery and equipment components.
- Install, repair, and replace hydraulic and pneumatic lines, fittings, and related systems.
- Adjust, align, and calibrate machine components and control devices.
- Operate machine shop equipment, including lathes, drill presses, grinders, and other metalworking tools.
- Fabricate, modify, and repair parts as needed to support equipment maintenance.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, technical manuals, and equipment specifications.
- Test equipment following repairs to verify safe and proper operation.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and communicate equipment issues effectively.
- Support safety initiatives and continuous improvement efforts throughout the facility.
Qualifications
- 2–4 years of industrial maintenance experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, manuals, and maintenance procedures.
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, and machine shop equipment.
- Working knowledge of preventive maintenance programs and equipment reliability practices.
- Basic math skills, including fractions, percentages, ratios, and measurements.
- Ability to follow written, verbal, and diagram-based instructions.
- Strong attention to detail, safety awareness, and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Technical certification, trade school training, or related maintenance education.
- Experience in a manufacturing, industrial, food processing, or production environment.
- PLC, automation, or advanced electrical troubleshooting experience (a plus).
