  • Job Overview

    Performs preventive maintenance and skilled repairs on complex mechanical production equipment and systems.
  • Key Responsibilities

    Follows standard procedures to monitor equipment for performance, safety, and effectiveness. Troubleshoots, diagnoses and repairs equipment problems. Complete equipment modifications and relocations with direction from a project leader. Log equipment repairs, modification and maintenance details in the designated system. Always follow safety procedures, including lock out-tag out, confined space and fall protection.
  • Essential Qualifications

    Required Skills and Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Technical or vocational training in industrial maintenance. 10+ years of experience as a maintenance mechanic, preferably as a journeyman mechanic. Ability to use all common types of hand and power tools. Ability to use common fabrication equipment and method such as saws, lathes, mills, and welders. Troubleshooting complex manufacturing equipment with pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems. Required Skills: Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals. Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to diagnose and repair complex machinery. Ability to coordinate resources, contractors, supplies and equipment for project execution. Ability to train and mentor others on maintenance skills and equipment. Ability to use a computer with basic proficiency (data entry).

  • Work Environment

    The position is based in a manufacturing facility, which may involve exposure to loud noises, varying temperatures, and dust from production processes. Associates will frequently work near or with machinery with moving parts, following strict safety protocols. The facility operates on shift schedules with potential for overtime, including weekends, based on production needs. This environment emphasizes team collaboration and adherence to safety regulations to ensure the well-being of all associates.
