Responsibilities

  • Conduct advanced preventive maintenance and troubleshooting on conveyor systems and food production machinery to ensure reliable operation and minimize downtime.
  • Perform complex mechanical repairs including shaft keying, sprocket broaching, gear head replacement, stainless steel welding, hydraulic hose fabrication, and belt maintenance using specialized tools and equipment.
  • Assist with equipment setup, teardown, welding, fabrication, and installation of new or modified plant machinery to support production needs.
  • Diagnose mechanical issues through observation, auditory assessment, and use of precision measuring instruments, and effectively identify and resolve root causes.
  • Utilize SAP software to document maintenance activities, track work orders, and communicate effectively with production and operations teams to optimize workflow.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED; two-year degree in specialized maintenance trade preferred.
  • 3+ years of related experience.
  • Ability to work different ranges of hours such as full-time, overtime, or weekend shifts.
  • Basic to advanced mechanical knowledge, electrical and building skills.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
