Maintenance Technician II - 1st Shift

About the role

Eaton’s IS AER FED division is currently seeking a Maintenance Technician II - 1st Shift to join our team in Beltsville, MD. The hourly rate for this position is $33.50 per hour. The core hours are 7 am - 3:30 pm.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on industrial equipment with minimal supervision.
• Perform intermediate mechanical, electrical, and systems troubleshooting and repairs in accordance with manufacturer’s specifications.
• Dismantle equipment to remove and repair or replace defective parts.
• Adjust functional parts and control instruments within equipment.
• Test equipment to observe performance.
• Construct and alter physical facilities to accommodate changes or improvements.
• Independently perform facilities and routine industrial maintenance.
• Assist other technicians on more complex maintenance issues.
• Provide support to other Technician I’s and Apprentices as directed by leadership.
• Perform electrical power work under the direction of electrician, including running wires and cables, installing fixtures, and performing testing and diagnostics.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 2 years of related experience in industrial maintenance.
• Associates degree with a technical focus from an accredited institution and a minimum of 1 year of related experience in industrial maintenance.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in industrial maintenance.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in CNC machining maintenance.

Skills

• Complies with all national and local safety and environmental standards, guidelines and policies.
• Understanding of how to use precision gauging instruments.
• Ability to proactively work with other team members under limited supervision.
• Ability to comprehend and follow technical standards and maintenance procedures.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics and drawings.
