Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain facility and process equipment
- Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, cleaning, lubrication, and equipment adjustments
- Analyze test results, machine data, error messages, operator feedback, and equipment performance to diagnose issues and return equipment to proper operating condition
- Assemble and disassemble equipment for inspection, repair, or replacement
- Maintain electrical wiring, equipment, fixtures, and components
- Test and troubleshoot electrical systems using diagnostic tools such as voltmeters, ohmmeters, and oscilloscopes
- Plan and install electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures according to specifications and code requirements
- Enter ladder logic and instructions for computer-controlled machinery
- Perform welding, pipefitting, machining, and fabrication work as needed
- Read blueprints and manufacturer manuals to support equipment repair, installation, and operation
- Document maintenance activities and inventory usage in the CMMS system
- Identify and address safety concerns while supporting a safe work environment
- Train others in operational procedures and equipment functions
Requirements
- 3+ years of industrial or plant maintenance experience
- Experience using a CMMS for maintenance documentation
- Knowledge of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and confined space requirements
- Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical, electrical, and process equipment
- Forklift certification or the ability to safely operate a forklift
- Strong communication skills and the ability to train others
- Technical degree or certifications preferred
Skills
- Experience with flow meters, level sensors, pressure sensors, and load cells
- Experience with motors, VFDs, starters, transformers, and power supplies
- Proficiency in welding and pipefitting
- Experience with batch mixing tanks, pressure vessels, extruders, conveyors, boilers, compressors, and general building repair
