Maintenance Technician I (Manheim)

Safe driver’s license required; must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all buildings, property, equipment, and landscaping for the site.
• Clean and pick up trash/debris from parking lots and exterior trash cans.
• Clean and maintain restrooms.
• Operate floor scrubbing machinery and maintain clean auction house floors.
• Perform routine carpentry work in the repair and maintenance of buildings and offices.
• Operate snow removal equipment to maintain parking lots and sidewalks.
• Ensure all buildings are kept clean; empty and clean wastebaskets and trash containers.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition and comply with applicable safety rules.
• Visibly demonstrate safety commitment by following all safety and health procedures and modeling related behaviors; actively participate in safety activities aligned with Safety Excellence.
• Perform other duties as assigned, including moving furniture, unloading and storing supplies.
• May be required to work overtime as business needs dictate.

Requirements

• Minimum: High School Diploma/GED and 3 years' experience in a related field.
• Alternative: Any level degree/certification beyond a HS diploma/GED in a related discipline, or 5 years' experience in a related field.
• Knowledge to perform light/basic electrical, plumbing, and carpentry repairs.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
• Regularly required to stand, walk, reach, talk, and hear.
• Frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, squat, and climb.
• Medium strength; ability to lift 1–50 pounds.
• Vision abilities: close, distance, and color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Schedule

Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM.

Pay

Hourly pay range: $20.00 – $30.00 per hour. The base rate may vary based on location, candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may also be eligible for additional compensation such as commission or incentive programs.
