About the role
The Maintenance Technician will maintain the production spaces and equipment. This role supports the overall objectives of the company through the efficient and effective maintenance of production facilities and equipment.
Responsibilities
- Works safely at all times, inside or outside the building. Reports any unsafe conditions to a Safety Committee member.
- Troubleshoots, repairs and maintains production equipment.
- Researches and recommends equipment needed to complete projects.
- Researches parts needed when performing mechanical / Electrical work when not available for immediate repairs on production equipment.
- Performs Electrical evaluation and repairs. Low Voltage Controls systems, PLC knowledge for troubleshooting equipment. Able to read Schematics.
- Working knowledge of Hydraulics, Pneumatics and able to read schematics of both.
- Proficient at MIG welding, can perform basic operations of Mill and Lathe. TIG welding would be a plus.
- Able to fabricate intermediate in complexity, equipment tooling, jigs, mechanical fixtures, etc.
- Informs Maintenance Supervisor of issues with repairs for guidance or help from other Technicians.
- Performs other duties as assigned by Maintenance Supervisor.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Forklift certification.
- Two-year degree in HVAC and Boiler C license preferred.
Qualifications
- Ability to read and comprehend simple and complex instructions and follow written and verbal directions.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical computations using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Knowledge of and skill using Microsoft Office applications and ERP systems.
- Knowledge of heating and cooling systems, electronics, fabrication plumbing and welding.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to operate manual and powered equipment and small hand tools.
- Ability to diagnose, repair and maintain manufacturing, facility and grounds equipment.
- Ability to listen and be aware of production floor activity to support a safe and hazard free working environment.
- Ability to be objective and flexible in adapting to changes in priorities, work assignments and other interactions that may impact pre-established courses of action for completing projects and assignments.
- Ability to work extended hours and/or varying shifts as requested in order to maintain adequate coverage during hours of operation.
- Knowledge of Lean and Kaizen methods and practices and standard production safety protocol

Pay
$25-32hr + Profit Sharing Bonus
Schedule
Extended hours and/or varying shifts as requested in order to maintain adequate coverage during hours of operation.
