Maintenance Technician I/II - Night Shift

About the Role

Improve systems and equipment reliability on assigned processes, reduce system/equipment downtime, and support the operation of assigned processes.

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety and environmental requirements in the performance of duties.
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures in performance of assigned duties.
• Support the development and establishment of maintenance procedures, maintenance plans, and spare parts lists for assigned processes.
• Perform corrective and preventative maintenance on assigned processes in a timely manner.
• Interpret mechanical and electrical specifications, drawings, and other technical data sheets.
• Work rotating shifts, night shifts, extended shifts, and/or weekends.
• Ensure all maintenance activities are correctly documented in SAP.
• Partner with process owners to actively improve performance and reliability of process equipment.
• Contribute to the growth and development of the maintenance team by training fellow technicians and learning new systems.
• Use Systematic Problem Solving (SPS) tools to establish Root Cause Analysis and resolve equipment issues.
• Suggest practical changes or improvements to equipment and department work practices.
• Collaborate with Responsible Engineers and Manufacturing personnel to troubleshoot equipment problems.
• Perform other accountabilities as assigned.

Physical Requirements

• Moves equipment and/or supplies weighing up to 33 pounds within the facility using various body positions.
• Routinely operates and inspects manufacturing equipment using hands.
• Ability to be on feet for up to a 12-hour shift.
• May require corrected vision to 20/25 based on role.
• May require color vision based on role.
• Occasionally ascends/descends a ladder.
• May be required to work at elevated heights.
• Occasionally works around odorous and/or hazardous materials.
• May be required to wear latex gloves.
• Occasionally performs critical job functions in extremely cold work environments.
• Occasionally positions oneself within confined spaces for inspection, repair, and maintenance of equipment.
• Ability to work in loud noise environments with hearing protection.
• Occasionally works in outdoor weather conditions.
• Able to pass a driving exam for powered industrial trucks.
• Does not require a valid driver's license.

Requirements

• Associate's Degree in a relevant field or equivalent military/industry training, which includes a thorough understanding of mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
• Minimum of one (1) year of relevant work experience.
• Regulated industry and solid dose manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and understand technical documentation, SOPs, Maintenance Plans, PMs, and work orders.
• Understanding of schematics, wiring diagrams, P&IDs, and other technical documentation.
• Computer literacy.
• Experience with automated record systems such as SAP.
• Experience in planning/organizing work, managing execution, checking results, and revising the work plan in accordance with the daily work plan is a plus.
