Maintenance Technician

Maintain Buildings & Grounds – Perform general building maintenance, repairs, floor care, landscaping, snow removal, and remodeling to ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.

Manage HVAC & Mechanical System – Inspect, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems to optimize safety and comfort for residents and staff.

Maintain Plumbing & Water Systems – Inspect and repair hot water heaters, softeners, plumbing equipment, and pool systems, including monitoring pool chemistry when scheduled.

Maintain Life Safety & Emergency Preparedness – Maintain and troubleshoot fire safety systems, generators, sprinkler systems, and alarm panels, ensuring compliance with Life Safety Code procedures.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Minnesota Boiler Operator’s License Special or above within two years.

Strong mechanical knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance.

Ability to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain facility equipment efficiently.

Valid driver's license with a clean record.

On Call requirement on a rotating basis.

Physical capability to perform essential job functions.

Ability to pass state mandated background check.

Ability to read, write, and speak English to ensure effective communication with residents, staff, and families.

Certified Pool Operator certificate within two years.

Benefits

Pay Range: $20.00 - $26.00/hour (non-exempt), based on experience, qualifications, and location.

Full Time Schedule: 80 hours/pay period | 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. | Weekend Rotation Every 6 Weeks.

No travel requirements.

No supervisory responsibilities.
