Maintenance Technician I

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and identify the root cause of machine breakdowns or out-of-control situations.
  • Dismantle defective machines and equipment, install new or repaired parts and perform minor repairs.
  • Install and repair electrical equipment, such as transformers and wiring, and electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment.
  • Assemble, install and maintain pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
  • Repair and maintain the physical structure of the plant.
  • Set up and operate machine tools (lathes, grinders, mills, drill presses, etc.) to repair and/or fabricate parts, jigs, fixtures, and tools.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance.
  • Execute Continuous Improvement project work orders.
  • Track and communicate work progress in a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Collaborate with reliability staff to order and stock parts and tools.
  • Flexible to work any shift assignment and overtime as needed.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma with five years' experience in maintaining electrical, technical, and mechanical equipment.
  • Associate's degree with two years' experience in maintaining electrical, technical, and mechanical equipment (preferred).
  • Previous experience in industrial maintenance or related field (preferred).

Physical Requirements

  • Activities such as walking, stooping, climbing, kneeling, and bending.
  • Significant time on the production floor and significant time on feet and walking.
  • Significant uses of hands, sometimes in confined spaces.
  • Occasional lifting; typically, less than 50 lbs.
  • Hearing of conversational level.
  • Must be qualified to operate powered industrial equipment.
  • Color vision.

  • High School Diploma with five years' experience in maintaining electrical, technical, and mechanical equipment.

Multiple positions are available for the afternoon (3:00 PM - 11:30 PM) or midnight (11:00 PM - 7:30 AM) shifts
