Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot causes of mechanical and electrical errors
- Repair or maintain the operating condition of industrial production or processing machinery or equipment
- Maintain process and procedure standards to provide consistency across employees and shifts
- Provide initial and continuous hands-on training in equipment functions, features, and repairs for new employees
- Record repairs and maintenance performed
- Work with engineers, shift leads, and supervisors to create more efficient processes when necessary
- Demonstrate leadership skills through continuous support of team members and new hires and by leading meetings when operating procedure training is involved
- Lead tours for new employees and visiting vendors
- Draft blueprints and read schematic, mechanical, and electrical diagrams
- Observe and test the operation of machinery or equipment to diagnose malfunctions
- Read and fulfill work orders
- Maintain cleanliness at work-site in accordance with 5S3R Standards: Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain Right Location, Right Quantity, Right Container
- Follow LGESMI existing cleaning SOP’s during downtime (e.g. line stop, waiting time, etc.), which includes cleaning your designated machine and/or surrounding work area
- Maintain cleanliness at work-site in accordance with 5S3R Standards: Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain Right Location, Right Quantity, Right Container
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- A High School Diploma or GED is required
- A Vocational Certificate or Associates Degree is preferred or equivalent, relevant experience
- Common mechanical and electrical knowledge
- A thorough understanding of process standards
- Experience: 1 to 3+ years of previous work-related skills, knowledge, or experience with advanced education or training
