Maintenance Technician I

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring the compliance of all corporate policies and the Occupational Safety and health administration rules (OSHA) while conducting work functions.
  • Regular inspection, troubleshooting and repairs of electrical and mechanical production equipment throughout the facility.
  • Detecting malfunctions and defects in electrical and mechanical systems on all automation equipment.
  • Maintaining a record of service cycles and other maintenance activities conducted.
  • Efficiently managing time and completing all tasks assigned by the supervisory authority.
  • Reporting damage, defects and other issues pertaining to electrical and mechanical units to the supervising manager.
  • Documenting spare and replacement parts required and completing all necessary documentation for the same.
  • Appropriately using and handling all electrical repair and testing tools and equipment.
  • Follow corporate and site-specific Good Manufacturing Practices and report noncompliance when observed.
  • Observe all company safety rules and assist in enforcement as appropriate.

Requirements

  • Must be skilled in the safe operation and maintenance of hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment, with the ability to troubleshoot and perform basic diagnostics.
  • In depth electrical and mechanical experience.
  • Proficient with working with and troubleshooting AC and DC voltages.
  • PLC’s, HMI’s, and AC/DC Drive knowledge.
  • Able to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Able to perform Preventative Maintenance tasks and services.
  • Automation experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills required, along with basic computer proficiency and the ability to navigate digital systems.
  • To operate a forklift.
  • Be able to follow oral or written instructions.
  • Team mindset.
  • Able to establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships.
  • High School Diploma or GED; or equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • Able to stand, walk, bend, extend, reach, and twist for long periods of time.

Pay

$28–$35 per hour (based on experience)
