About the role

A Maintenance Technician at Highway West Vacations is responsible for the upkeep of the property facilities, including guest rooms, cottages, RV sites, public amenity areas, and business offices. They are skilled in a variety of areas including plumbing, locksmithing, carpentry, and electrical systems.

Responsibilities

  • Responding to guest requests
  • Repairing breaks and performing preventative maintenance
  • Maintaining inventory
  • Carpentry, framing, drywall repair, caulking, and wall molding
  • Installation and repair of countertops, cabinets, interior and exterior doors, fencing, gutters, downspouts, and connecting hoses
  • Repair and replacement of window screens, tracks/runners, weather stripping, curtain rods, and blinds
  • Basic electrical troubleshooting, including circuits, receptacles, breakers, switches, fuses, and light fixtures
  • Maintenance and repair of HVAC systems
  • Plumbing repairs, including toilets, sinks, vanities, garbage disposals, and drain cleaning
  • Repairing and replacing appliances, including stoves, refrigerators, washers, and dryers
  • Maintenance of irrigation systems
  • Pest control and removal
  • Skilled in the safe use of a variety of hand and power tools
  • Ability to safely operate a golf cart
  • Driver License

Requirements

  • Knowledge, skills, and ability to safely install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair a wide variety of building systems and equipment
  • General Maintenance
  • Carpentry, framing, drywall repair, caulking, and wall molding
