About the role
The Maintenance Technician I is responsible for a variety of general custodial, groundskeeping, and general maintenance tasks that assure the facility, grounds and equipment are safe, well-maintained, and attractive in accordance with current Federal, State and local standards, guidelines and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Removes trash
- Washes windows / walls
- Moves furniture and supplies
- Fills-in housekeeping duties if needed
- Cleans, buffs, strips, waxes, and carpets floors
- Aids in building maintenance and construction work
- Aids in grounds maintenance, including lawn care and snow removal
- Aids in general repairs to facility and residents' equipment
- Operates hand and power tools, and uses various machines such as floor care, grounds-keeping, and maintenance equipment safely
Qualifications
- Preferred experience in a health care setting
- Building and grounds maintenance experience
- Valid Driver’s License as appropriate and acceptable driving record that meets Benedictine requirements
