Maintenance Technician I

About the role

This position assists in the operation and maintenance of various systems within the facility.

Responsibilities

• Maintains complete and accurate records of all maintenance and repairs.
• Keeps current on maintenance logs and documentation.
• Manages and maintains tools and equipment in good working condition.
• Collaborates with other departments to ensure maintenance tasks do not interfere with operations.
• Performs essential repairs and other duties as requested.
• Assists in testing, maintaining, and repairing mechanical machinery, equipment, systems, and physical structures as scheduled or needed under direct supervision.
• Responds to in-house work orders and preventive maintenance tasks on a daily basis and in a timely manner.
• Responds to emergency calls and takes call in accordance with facility needs.

Requirements

• Must be able to read, write, and speak conversational English.
• Must have ability to read, and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Must have ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
• Must have ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volumes.
• Must have knowledge of safe handling tools and equipment.
• Must have basic Microsoft Office computer skills.
• Must have proficiency in the operation of gas and electric outside equipment and tools (preferred).
• Must be able to read and understand work orders.
• Must be able to enter data in CMMS System.
• Must complete all work as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Grad or Equiv.

Skills

• Knowledge of safe handling tools and equipment.
• Basic Microsoft Office computer skills.
• Proficient in the operation of gas and electric outside equipment and tools (preferred).

Pay

$16.91 - $27.06 per hour.
