Maintenance Technician I - 3rd shift

About the role

The Maintenance Technician I position is available within Harland Clarke, a Vericast business, located in High Point. This role operates in a TEMPERATURE CONTROLLED, BRIGHT, CLEAN manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Afford operators with minor maintenance issues as needed and replace broken or damaged items in a timely manner.
• Performs electrical and/or mechanical troubleshooting and repairs in response to equipment errors or failures.
• Performs scheduled preventive maintenance and audits.
• Aid with facilities maintenance and other duties as assigned.
• Review and interpret performance data to identify and implement performance improvement activities.
• Lead and/or assist with local Engineering upgrades and projects.

Qualifications

• Education: Mechanical and/or Electronic courses (preferred).
• Experience: Strong mechanical reasoning skills and conscientiousness.
• Skills: Ability to work in fast-paced environment under time constraints, strong communication and problem-solving skills, experience using Windows based PC applications.

Physical Demands / Working Conditions

• Ability to learn and follow all safety regulations and job instructions to perform primary duties.
• Ability to perform physical labor, prolonged walking, standing, lifting up to 40 lbs. on a regular basis, stooping, bending, and ladder climbing.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule.

Additional Information

• Hourly Pay Rate: $23.00 - $27.00 DOE plus $1.75 hourly shift differential.
• Hours: 11:00PM - 7:30AM Sunday - Thursday & Potential Overtime.
