Maintenance Technician I (2) Openings

Responsible for performing a variety of general repairs on interior and exterior parts of the building, providing support to other Casino Department team members, and delivering attentive, cheerful, courteous, professional customer service to all customers, internal and external.

Responsibilities

• Respond to daily maintenance issues as assigned.
• Shovel and blow snow using snow blowers, and spread sand and salt to melt ice on walkways and building entrances.
• Hauling equipment, tools, parts, and materials to job site.
• Perform labor to help complete jobs, including holding equipment, using tools, and providing backup on jobs requiring more than one person.
• Respond to urgent repair requests with priority given to jobs compromising customer and team member safety, such as broken pipes, downed equipment, fires, leaks, unsafe surfaces (torn carpet, broken tile, slippery walkways).
• Gather appropriate tools and materials for assigned tasks.
• Clean and return worksite area to original state after repairs or construction.
• All other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum 1-year experience working in construction or maintenance required.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical and maintenance preferred.
• Basic knowledge of tools and equipment of the trade preferred.
• Troubleshooting skills preferred.
• Ability to prioritize and manage workload to meet goals in a timely manner.
• Ability to work with minimal to no supervision.
• Flexibility to work extended hours, various shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective communication with co-workers, supervisors, and guests.
• Position involves medium physical demands with lifting of 50 pounds maximum and frequent lifting/carrying up to 25 pounds.
• Constant standing, walking, carrying, manual handling, use of hearing, smell, near/midrange/far vision, depth perception, color/field of vision.
• Frequent pushing/pulling, climbing, stooping, kneeling, bending, moving snow.
• Occasional sitting, crawling, and reaching.
• Constant exposure to weather, vibration, air quality; frequent exposure to extreme heat/cold, noise, and dust.
• Frequent exposure to potential hazards including moving mechanical parts, electric shock, high exposed places, chemicals, insecticides/pesticides, and client contact.
• Native American preferred.
