About the role
The Maintenance Technician (HVAC/R) is responsible for maintaining and repairing heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems in residential buildings. This includes troubleshooting issues, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring all systems operate efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair HVAC/R systems using diagnostic tools and techniques.
- Perform preventive maintenance checks to ensure systems are operating at optimal levels.
- Respond to emergency calls to address system malfunctions promptly.
- Document work performed and communicate findings to supervisors.
- Follow safety protocols and adhere to company policies.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.
- At least 2 years of experience in HVAC/R maintenance or related field.
- Knowledge of HVAC/R systems and components.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Qualifications
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Good physical condition to perform manual labor.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Skills
- Proficiency in HVAC/R diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Experience with refrigeration systems.
- Knowledge of electrical systems and wiring.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.

Pay
