Maintenance Technician (HVAC/Make Ready)

About the Role

Alexander Forrest Investments (AFI) is a mid-sized, multifamily real-estate management company located in Columbia, MO, with over 50 multi-family properties across the country. We are looking for a hard-working individual with previous maintenance experience to help with the upkeep of one of our apartment complexes. Growth opportunities are abundant as we plan to double in size over the next year.

Job Duties

• Responding to resident work orders
• Cleaning and renovation of vacant apartments for new move-ins
• Light plumbing
• Painting and drywall repair
• Light electrical work
• Light carpentry and flooring repair
• Able to fix standard apartment appliances: Fridge, Washer/Dryer, Dishwasher, etc.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Maintain positive attitude when under strict deadlines
• Able to pass Background Check and Drug Test
• HVAC Certified (preferred but not required)
• Valid Driver's License with proof of insurance
• Flexible Availability Needed — you will be required to be on call at all times
• Must have own tools

Compensation

• Base hourly rate between $20–$30 per hour (based on experience)
• Additional compensation opportunities to be identified following achievement of above milestones
