MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN (HVAC and/or Electrical)

Responsibilities

1. Provide superior guest service, positively affect interactions with guests and employees, and have the resilience to deal with difficult guests in all types of business conditions.
2. Work effectively and courteously with fellow employees.
3. Maintain, repair, and replace gaming table layouts.
4. Identify repair/replacement needs, diagnose repair resources needed, and analyze preventative maintenance needs.
5. Diagnose the need for and perform all duties related to advanced or expert level painting, plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, and other projects relating to maintenance of the property.
6. Analyze the need for preventative maintenance, design a schedule of such maintenance, and perform preventative maintenance as scheduled.
7. Avoid leaving any cups, glasses, bottles, or other items on the floor by guests.
8. Ensure the safety and security of all guests and employees.
9. Keep work area in a clean and orderly manner.
10. Assist in maintaining a spotless casino.
11. Adhere to regulatory, departmental, and Company policies in an ethical manner and empower and require others to do the same.
12. Perform other duties as assigned or reasonably requested by any member of management.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Proficient in English verbal and written.
• Flexible to work various shifts, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a 1055 gaming license.
• Must possess valid driver’s license and maintain good driving record.
• A high school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
• A certification in a trade school or 4-6 years’ experience in facilities maintenance of which may include 2+ years at level of Maintenance Technician I and II or a combination of education/experience.
• Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
• Ability to push and pull up to 250 pounds.
• Ability to lift and carry objects up to 50 pounds, and up to 250 pounds with assistance.
• Ability to bend, stoop, twist, reach, and kneel repetitively.
• Safely work with provided cleaning chemical and equipment.
• Ascend and descend stairs and maintain equilibrium for an extended period.
• Ability to work from a standing or sitting position and/or walking motion for extended period.
• Ability to work in a smoking and pet-friendly environment.
