Maintenance Technician - Highlands Lodge

About the role

The Service Technician role at Avanti Residential involves maintaining the appearance and operations of the property, including preparing units for move-ins, completing work orders, appliance repairs, unit inspections, and managing snow removal or hurricane preparation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare units for move-ins with electrical, plumbing, carpentry, masonry, and painting repairs.
• Complete work orders within 24 hours as directed by the Community Manager and/or Service Manager and report any emergency work orders in a timely manner.
• Respond to after-hours emergencies (on-call).
• Manage grounds pick up, sweeping, and light landscaping tasks.
• Complete snow removal (CO, KS, UT) or hurricane preparation and clean-up (FL).
• Demonstrate strong customer service skills and maintain clear, professional communication with residents, vendors, and team members.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or GED.
• One to two years of relevant experience.
• OSHA, EPA, and CPO licenses/certifications preferred.
• Written, verbal, and oral communication skills.
• Knowledge of facilities management and mechanical equipment.
• Criminal background screening required prior to employment.
• Valid driver's license and up-to-date vehicle insurance required.
• Pass the Wonderlic pre-employment assessment.

Qualifications

Pay

Premium pay available for required duties completed outside regular operating hours based on business needs and after-hours coverage.

Schedule

Monday - Friday schedule with on-call responsibilities.
