Maintenance Technician - Heights on Huron

About the role

The Service Technician plays a crucial role in maintaining the appearance and operational excellence of the property. They are responsible for addressing immediate needs and ensuring the safety and comfort of residents.

Responsibilities

• Prepare units for move-ins with necessary repairs.
• Complete work orders within 24 hours and report emergency work orders promptly.
• Handle 24-hour emergency maintenance and on-call responsibilities.
• Manage grounds maintenance tasks including pick-up, sweeping, and light landscaping.
• Assist with snow removal or hurricane preparation and cleanup as needed.
• Demonstrate strong customer service skills and maintain clear communication with residents, vendors, and team members.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or GED.
• At least one year of relevant experience.
• Preferred certifications: OSHA, EPA, and CPO.
• Strong written, verbal, and oral communication skills.
• Knowledge of facilities management and mechanical equipment.
• Criminal background screening required.
• Valid driver's license and up-to-date vehicle insurance.
• Completion of the Wonderlic pre-employment assessment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 1+ years of relevant experience required.

Pay

Premium pay is available for required duties completed outside regular operating hours based on business needs and after-hours coverage.

Schedule

Monday - Friday schedule with on-call responsibilities.
