Maintenance Technician - Full Time - *Sign-On Bonus*

The Village at Summerville is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Maintenance Technician to join our team to create a warm hospitality experience for all our residents, staff, and visitors. Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot fire alarm and sprinkler systems and respond to emergency calls.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair various plumbing problems including toilet plunging, snaking, or replacements of plumbing parts and piping.
• Troubleshoot cause of electrical and appliance problems and make basic repairs such as resetting breakers and GFCI receptacles, changing out receptacles, lighting, fans, stoves, refrigerators, washing machines, dryers, disposals, etc.
• Perform basic troubleshooting of air conditioning systems, diagnose problems, and change filters and clean coils.
• Maintain tools and equipment.
• Move and assemble furniture.
• Perform sheet rock repair and painting.
• Setup landscape irrigation systems.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid South Carolina Driver’s license with a good driving record.
• 1 year of experience in maintenance at commercial facilities, school systems, retirement communities, or hotels in all disciplines such as plumbing, electrical, painting, carpentry, refrigeration, ground maintenance, masonry, and general maintenance.
• HVAC Universal certification a plus.
• Reasonable computer skills in word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.
