Maintenance Technician - First Shift

Responsibilities

• Performs routine maintenance on all building equipment, from HVAC to production equipment.
• Responsible for maintaining all aspects of the property.
• Maintain machinery in good working order and notify Manufacturing Manager of any repairs needed on equipment used in the production area.
• Observe safety precautions to prevent fires or explosions.
• Monitor gauges, recording instruments, flow meters, or products to ensure specified conditions are maintained.
• Observe work areas to detect leaks or equipment malfunctions or to monitor operating conditions.
• Perform daily checks on production scales and forklifts.
• Develop and update a preventative maintenance program daily.
• Support other areas of the plant as designated by the Plant Operations Manager.
• Communicate with people outside the organization, representing the organization to customers, vendors, exchanging information in person, in writing, by telephone, or by email.

Requirements

• Prefer High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to read and write.
• Technical Certificates would be helpful.
• Previous experience working in a chemical plant preferred but not required.
• Reliable transportation.
