Maintenance Technician; Facilities

Responsibilities

• Performs facility modifications and repairs, including electrical, plumbing, painting, and light construction.
• Affirms compliance with workplace safety procedures, OSHA requirements, and relevant federal, state, and local regulations.
• Maintains knowledge of plant production processes, equipment, systems, and facilities to perform maintenance effectively.
• Interacts with and assists outside contractors and vendors during project execution.
• Schedules and performs routine maintenance on equipment and facilities according to the company's schedule and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Utilizes machine tools, hand tools, and other equipment to work with various materials within specified tolerances.
• Locates, relocates, assembles, and installs equipment and furniture as necessary.
• Assists with custodial tasks such as maintaining floors, rugs, bathrooms, and overall facility appearance.
• Proposes and implements strategies to enhance product and service quality.
• Participates in self-improvement activities and training sessions.
• Completes the Facilities Personnel Core Competency in the Learning Management System.
• Exhibits safety awareness and adheres to safe work practices.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in an electrical or mechanical discipline, or equivalent trade certification, preferred.
• At least 2 years of experience in maintenance and/or machine repair.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
• Completion of Chemical Hygiene Training.

Qualifications

• Pass a background check.
• Pass a drug screen.
• May need to pass Occupational Health Screening.
• May require gowning certification.
• May require media qualification.

Pay

Pay Range: $24.05/hour. Consideration of education, experience, location, and tenure may affect the final compensation package.
