Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical circuits, motors, and control panels.
- Install, maintain, and calibrate electrical components, including sensors, switches, and relays.
- Perform preventative maintenance on electrical equipment to minimize downtime.
- Adhere to electrical safety standards and procedures.
- Calibrate and maintain instrumentation devices, such as pressure transmitters, flow meters, and temperature sensors.
- Troubleshoot and repair instrumentation systems, including control loops and data acquisition systems.
- Configure and program programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and human-machine interfaces (HMIs).
- Maintain and troubleshoot Siemens S1500 controllers and associated systems.
Safety and Compliance
- Adhere to all safety regulations, including those related to hazardous chemicals and intrinsically safe equipment.
- Participate in safety meetings and training programs.
- Follow lockout/tagout procedures to ensure safe work practices.
Mechanical Maintenance
- Perform routine maintenance on process piping, hydraulic presses, production scale saws, and other general mechanical equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues as needed.
- Create and update technical documentation, such as electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Technical degree or certifications in electrical, instrumentation, or related fields preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in industrial electrical and instrumentation maintenance or demonstrable knowledge of these systems.
Skills
- Strong understanding of electrical and instrumentation principles.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical and electronic systems.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to perform basic mechanical repairs.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Able to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to work in various environmental conditions, including extreme temperatures and noise levels.
