Maintenance Technician - Cookietree Bakeries

Duties And Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance tasks on production machinery.
• Conduct inspections, lubrication, and adjustments to ensure equipment operates efficiently.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, identify root causes, and implement effective repairs.
• Respond promptly to emergency unscheduled troubleshooting and repairs of production equipment.
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the production area.
• Maintain facility systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
• Adhere to safety protocols and participate in safety training programs.
• Document equipment repairs, parts replacements, and maintenance procedures.
• Coordinate with production supervisors and operators to prioritize maintenance tasks.
• Communicate with cross-functional teams to address maintenance issues and implement solutions.
• Provide technical assistance and training to production staff.

Minimum Job Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• 5 years’ related experience in industrial manufacturing environment, preferably in an automated food processing plant.
• 5 years’ experience troubleshooting and maintaining electrical and mechanical systems.
• Valid knowledge and skills in electrical troubleshooting/repairs, PLC programming, HMI development, SCADA systems, and safety standards.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to perform mechanical repairs involving hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to operate a computer for documentation.

Working Conditions And Physical Effort

• Exposure to unusual elements such as dirt, dust, fumes, odors, darkness, and poor lighting.
• Seasonal exposure to weather elements including extreme temperatures, wetness, and humidity.
• Physical risks and hazards such as working around mechanical equipment, mechanical hazards, forklifts, chemical hazards, electrical hazards, fire, and explosives hazards.
• Communicable diseases.
