Maintenance Technician CONV

About the role

Maintain and repair machinery, equipment, physical structures, pipes, and electrical systems at site. Perform visual inspections and tests, troubleshoot and repair machinery, dismantle and install new or repaired parts, and install and repair electrical equipment.

Responsibilities

• Visually inspect and test machinery and equipment
• Troubleshoot and repair machinery
• Discuss machine operation variations with operators, supervisors, or other maintenance workers to diagnose problems or repair machinery
• Troubleshoot and install electrical equipment, such as 4-20ma, 24vac, 90vdc, single and 3-phase up to 480v, VFD, PLC, Servo Drive, Encoder, Proximity Switch, laser sensors
• Maintain TPM program from factory equipment
• Install, program, or repair automated machinery and equipment such as robots or programmable controllers
• Install and repair electrical apparatus, such as transformers and wiring, and electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment
• Clean and lubricate machinery parts
• Lay out, assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, repair and replace gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment
• Make emergency repairs to limit downtime and production delays
• Set up and operate machine tools such as lathe, grinder, drill, and milling machine to repair or fabricate machine parts, jigs, fixtures, and tools
• Operate cutting torch, welding equipment to cut and fabricate items
• Coordinate material requisitions needed for each project
• Follow 5S practices and support lean activities, as well as safety regulations policies and procedures
• Work to reduce equipment downtime
• Troubleshoot electrical controls, PLC, Servo controls, Temperature controls, Encoders
• Repairs and maintains physical structure of establishment
• Facilitates the training of maintenance technicians

Requirements

High School diploma/GED, 1 – 3 years of maintenance experience, must be able to stand and work 10 hours a day, must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, able to set up and operate basic, manual metal fabrication machines, able to utilize calibrated precision measuring instruments, able to read and interpret blueprints, able to use precision measuring tools, able to read and write to comply with written instructions and complete departmental paperwork, proficient in MS Office Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, open to working overtime if needed on Friday

• Able to read and interpret blueprints

• Able to read and write to comply with written instructions and complete departmental paperwork
• Proficient in MS Office Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams
• Open to working overtime if needed on Friday

Pay

The hourly pay range for this role is: $26.00/hr. Opportunity for a rate increase after you are proficient in certain skills and have fulfilled training. Actual pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, and experience.

Schedule

1st shift hours Monday through Thursday from 5am – 3:30pm OT on Friday. Must be open to working overtime if needed on Friday
