About the role
The Maintenance Tech is responsible for preventive maintenance, repair, modification and start-up/shut-down oversight of commissary related equipment.
Responsibilities
- Uphold a safe working environment in compliance with USDA regulations and corporate safety standards.
- Diagnose equipment malfunctions and develop effective repair strategies.
- Create and implement preventive maintenance schedules for all equipment.
- Adhere to checklists for inspecting drives, motors, belts, fluid levels, and filters.
- Minimize production downtime.
- Follow all safety policies, including Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) procedures.
- Organize inventory of maintenance supplies, spare parts, and tools.
- Communicate effectively to maintain building safety and GMP compliance.
Minimum Qualifications
- Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, and hydraulic systems.
- Ability to read and interpret manuals, blueprints, and technical procedures.
- Experience with CMMS systems.
Education And Experience
- 2+ years of maintenance experience in a food manufacturing environment
- AAS or similar technical degree preferred
- Certifications like CMRP or CPMM preferred
- OSHA safety certification or other relevant training

- Lifting: Frequent 3–5 Hours up to 50 lbs; Constant 5–8 Hours up to 25 lbs
- Pivoting: Frequent 3–5 Hours
- Pushing/Pulling: Constant 5–8 Hours up to 25 lbs; Frequent 3–5 Hours up to 50 lbs
- Squatting/Kneeling: Frequent 3–5 Hours
- Standing: Constant 5–8 Hours
