Maintenance Technician: Comfort Suites Outlet Center

About the role

The Role: As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for making sure that our hotel is kept in top working order. You will plan and oversee preventative maintenance projects to take care of our building, and be responsible for the operational safety of our guest and employee spaces. With your skills in basic level carpentry, you will be in charge of cosmetic repairs when needed, and resolve light to moderate plumbing and electrical issues if they arise. You will also work closely with the Chief Engineer to make sure that all certificates, licenses, permits and inspections are up to date.

Responsibilities

• Plan and oversee preventative maintenance projects
• Ensure operational safety of guest and employee spaces
• Perform cosmetic repairs as needed
• Resolve light to moderate plumbing and electrical issues
• Work closely with the Chief Engineer to ensure compliance with certificates, licenses, permits, and inspections

Qualifications

• Friendly and enjoys working as a team
• Can lift and carry objects of up to 50 lbs regularly
• Can lift and carry objects over 50 lbs occasionally
• Flexible availability in case of emergencies
• Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and carpentry skills
• Able to self-manage ongoing projects effectively
