Maintenance Technician - Chemical Processing

About the role

We are looking for a Machine Maintenance Technician for our Chemical Processing Department.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, install, and repair pumps, motors, control systems, and automation equipment
• Program and service VFD's, PLC's, and industrial motor controls
• Monitor and calibrate process instrumentation (pH, conductivity, flow, turbidity, gas detection)
• Perform preventive maintenance on machine tools and other manufacturing equipment
• Read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams to diagnose and perform repairs
• Support compliance with ISO, NADCAP, and environmental regulations through data logging and audits
• Manage wastewater treatment systems, air emissions controls, and scrubber maintenance
• Perform safe chemical handling, following SDS procedures and OSHA standards
• Conform to all requirements of Seyer Industries Quality System and any and all customer invoked quality requirements (AS-9100, for example)
• Continuously seek opportunities for improvement to enhance efficiency and organization (6s)
• Work well within a team to achieve minimal downtime of manufacturing equipment

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license
• Experience in a manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of electrical systems and troubleshooting
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and background check
