Maintenance Technician- Carmel

Job responsibilities

• Manage maintenance personnel and plan various renovation and repair projects.
• Ensure hotel premises are safe and functional for guests and employees.
• Inspect hotel regularly to ensure it meets safety standards.
• Arrange for routine maintenance in hotel rooms, lobbies and facilities.
• Organize repair projects in a manner that does not disturb guests.
• Plan and oversee renovations and construction.
• Act fast to resolve emergency issues (e.g. power outages).
• Find ways to reduce hotel operating costs and conserve energy.
• Supervise team of Maintenance Technicians and Janitors.
• Manage relationships with contractors and service providers.

Maintenance Technician - Job Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repair of building systems including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical equipment.
• Conduct daily inspections of rooms, common areas, and equipment to ensure everything is functioning properly.
• Respond quickly to maintenance requests and breakdowns (guest rooms, public areas, back-of-house).
• Troubleshoot issues and fix faults efficiently to minimize downtime.
• Carry out preventive maintenance as per schedule.
• Maintain proper records/logs of repairs, maintenance work, and inventory.
• Ensure all work is completed following safety standards and company policies.
• Aid in installation of new equipment or fixtures.
• Coordinate with external vendors/contractors when required.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
• Support emergency situations (power failure, water leakage, etc.).
• Ensure overall cleanliness and upkeep of property infrastructure.
