Maintenance Technician B

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain and repair CNC machines and equipment in plant and related facilities
• Identify and perform a variety of repairs and preventative maintenance on parts, pumps, motors, hydraulic systems, and related plant and facility equipment
• Train and develop Maintenance Level C & D employees
• Operate tools, equipment, and machinery in the maintenance, repair, and fabrication of parts, machines, and equipment
• Complete work orders and paperwork regarding daily maintenance and repair duties
• Ensure compliance with operating policies and procedures
• Follow all safety requirements for the individual and other employees
• Keep the work area clean and in orderly condition
• Assemble, install and/or repair wiring, electrical and electronic components, pipe systems and plumbing, machinery, and equipment
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems using schematics and machine prints
• Oversee Material Recycling and Coolant Programs
• Monitor and report to supervision, inventory levels of consumable items
• Perform preventative maintenance on plant and facility equipment
• Complete mid-level PMs and tickets
• Respond to hazardous waste incidents
• Use lifts and ladders
• Grounds keeping
• Facility upkeep, including light plumbing and electrical duties
• Manage chip and recycling program
• Perform low-level PMs and tickets
• Perform other related duties, as required

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent required
• 3 years of general maintenance experience required
• 2 years of previous maintenance experience on CNC machines
