Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities

• Maintain hotel’s maintenance and upkeep standards.
• Perform structural repairs including masonry, woodwork, and furnishings.
• Patch or replace plaster/plasterboard; paint walls and ceilings.
• Lay flooring such as linoleum, tile, and carpet.
• Check fixtures, lighting, and signs for proper operation.
• Maintain an adequate supply of spare parts and light bulbs.
• Respond and complete maintenance work orders in a timely manner.
• Keep work areas neat and orderly.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Basic working knowledge of general maintenance and HVAC.
• Prior technical experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Able to lift, carry, or move up to 10 lbs. regularly and 25 lbs. occasionally.
• Able to stand and move for long periods of time.

Qualifications

• Capable of operating hand and power tools.

• Carpentry skills.
