Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot manufacturing equipment and make repairs as necessary.
- Perform routine safety and environmental inspections.
- Troubleshoot and repair facility support equipment and building infrastructure.
- Maintain equipment in accordance with a written Preventive Maintenance Program.
- Maintain accuracy of equipment drawings and manuals as modifications are made.
- On a limited basis, perform production duties as needed.
- Housekeeping associated with maintenance and production as needed.
- Any other duties that may arise in the area of Site Maintenance.
- Administer reporting requirements for Site HSE plans
Knowledge/Experience/Skills Needed
- 5+ years as a mechanic/electrician in a manufacturing environment.
- Experienced at installing, troubleshooting and repairing electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and mechanical systems and equipment.
- Experienced maintaining and troubleshooting PLC systems.
- Knowledge of motor controls, process instrumentation loops and mechanical drives.
- Proficient at reading and interpreting electrical schematics, pneumatic schematics and mechanical drawings.
- Experienced with DC, single phase AC, and three phase AC power.
- Experience repairing/rebuilding complex mechanical equipment to close tolerances.
- Experienced in metal cutting, welding and fabricating.
- Experienced in pipe fitting with both metal and PVC pipe and fittings.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Experienced lift truck operator.
- Heavy manual lifting (routinely 25-50 lbs/max lifting of 100 lbs.), climb ladders and work at heights of 50 ft or higher.
- Able to work outdoors, if needed, during inclement weather.
- Able to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced environment with little supervision.
- Flexible to work a variety of shift patterns and overtime as required.
