Maintenance Technician

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Complete resident work orders promptly, ensuring quality service and adherence to the 24- and 48-hour guarantees where applicable.
  • Perform maintenance and repairs, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, drywall, appliances, and exterior structures.
  • Carry out routine inspections and preventative maintenance to keep equipment, tools, and common areas in top condition.
  • Aid the Maintenance Manager in daily operations.
  • Prepare vacant apartments for new residents by completing repairs, cleaning, and ensuring all features are in working order per the Total Quality Make Ready (TQMR) program as needed.
  • Work independently while following company standards, demonstrating attention to detail, and maintaining a commitment to resident satisfaction.
  • Provide emergency and on-call maintenance support as needed.
  • Support the team with other duties as needed to maintain resident satisfaction and property standards.

Candidate Profile

  • Proven experience in multifamily property maintenance, facilities management, or a related field.
  • HVAC certification required; CPO certification preferred.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including participation in an on-call rotation.
  • Lifting/carrying (supplies, equipment, etc.): Over 75 lbs. Rare need 25 – 75 lbs. Occasional need 1 – 25 lbs. Constant need.
