About the role

Maintenance Technician responsible for ensuring a safe, secure, and comfortable living environment for residents, visitors, and staff at an affordable housing community.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine preventative maintenance
  • Diagnose and address minor repairs
  • Complete make-ready repairs
  • Inspect property conditions
  • Assist with grounds keeping
  • Ensure all safety standards, including EPA and OSHA regulations, are met
  • Promptly correct unsafe conditions

Qualifications & Skills

  • Minimum of 1 year experience in apartment maintenance
  • High school diploma or GED
  • HVAC certification preferred
  • Valid driver's license and automobile insurance
  • Skilled in the safe use of hand and power tools, mechanical equipment
  • Able to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 75 lbs, working in all weather conditions, and on feet for extended periods

  • Coordinate repairs
  • Ensure all work is completed efficiently
  • Help keep grounds neat and safe
  • Must be flexible to work weekends and on-call as needed
