Maintenance Technician

Maintenance + Technical Duties

• Completes maintenance work orders – as assigned
• Performs necessary maintenance relating to both the exterior and interiors of all buildings of the property assigned
• Maintains inventory of equipment, tools, supplies, and work materials
• Maintains a working knowledge of all utility sources and supply lines
• General maintenance experience includes painting, drywall, plumbing, electrical, mowing, plowing, etc.
• Performs all phases of snow removal from all needed areas and maintains all appropriate equipment
• Paints, cleans, completes maintenance items, and all other items required for the completion of the unit under renovation
• Cleans all common areas and responsible for trash removal

Planning + Oversight + Communication

• Affords assessments and prioritizes all work to be performed on assigned site
• Completes daily work schedules for routine maintenance duties
• Notifies Maintenance Supervisor and Property Manager of all problems and potential issues of concern
• Safeguards quality of work duties performed
• Handles emergency situations that may arise; and communicates all details of the incident to the Property Manager

Interpersonal + Safety Responsibilities

• Will be available for on-call as necessary
• Maintains a professional and courteous manner with all residents, vendors, contractors, and fellow employees
• Actively participates and follows the safety and health programs

Physical Requirements

• Standing, kneeling, lifting, carrying, painting

Required Education

High School Diploma

Required Experience

2+ years of experience in residential property maintenance

Strong working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and heating systems

Experience with additional duties including drywall, snow removal, appliance repair, and the safe use of power tools
