Responsibilities
- Help and assist in the maintenance and repair work for movable bridges.
- Light trouble shooting abilities for a variety of different types of machinery and equipment like industrial machinery, electricity, plumbing, generators, etc.
- Custodial and lawn maintenance tasks such as picking up debris, sweeping, shoveling, and other similar activities.
- Assist installation, maintenance, and repair workers in performing tasks related to vehicle, industrial machinery, and electrical and electronic equipment.
- Provide preventive maintenance services to machinery, generators, etc.
- Prepare daily and weekly inspection reports of equipment.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Computer training with Microsoft Office background.
- CPR and First Aid certification within 6 months of hire.
- Pass a pre-employment criminal background check.
- Submit to a post-offer, pre-employment physical examination and medical history check.
- Valid driver's license required for this job.
Physical Demands
Considerable physical activity. Requires heavy physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling of objects up to 50 pounds. Physical work is a primary part (more than 70%) of the job. Exposure to potentially dangerous materials and situations requiring extensive safety precautions and the use of protective equipment.
Compensation
$18.00 - $22.00 per hour.
