True Harmony Company is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to support the performance and upkeep of equipment and systems in our cannabis facilities and large-scale, state-of-the-art greenhouse in Ely, Nevada.

About the role

In this hands-on role, you’ll work under limited supervision to inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain a variety of mechanical components. Responsibilities include performing installations, test runs, and supporting operations during peak seasons. You'll play a vital role in maintaining our 250,000 sq. ft. cannabis greenhouse facilities and onsite housing.

Responsibilities

  • Survey and repair mechanical systems to ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Run diagnostics, adjust, repair, and maintain various systems and equipment.
  • Perform routine inspections of facility systems, equipment, and grounds.
  • Assist with repairs to HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and other systems as directed.
  • Operate and maintain hand and power tools safely.
  • Support landscaping and irrigation system maintenance.
  • Maintain clean and safe work areas.
  • Record maintenance activities and report issues promptly.
  • Respond to emergency repair needs as assigned.
  • Attend training sessions as needed.
  • May occasionally be required to be on call for special circumstances or departmental needs (e.g., natural disasters or major emergencies).
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Supportive Functions

  • Assist with general field operations during peak seasons or slow mechanical periods.
  • Meet with management regarding test results and make necessary adjustments to machinery.
  • Communicate with the management team to order replacement parts for machines.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Must pass a criminal background check and obtain necessary licenses to work in the cannabis industry.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours as needed.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
  • Experience as a maintenance technician.
  • Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and other systems.
  • Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods.
  • Experience with welding and fabrication.
  • Proficiency with computers, email, and mobile apps.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.

Nice to Haves

  • Certificate in HVAC, building maintenance technology, or a relevant field.
  • Welding experience.
  • Harvest machinery experience.
  • Plumbing experience.
  • Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP).
  • Commercial Driver's License.

Physical Requirements

  • Lifting: Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly.
  • Standing/Walking: Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods, often in a greenhouse environment.
  • Repetitive Motion: Frequent bending, kneeling, and reaching.
  • Manual Dexterity: Proficient hand-eye coordination.

Work Environment

  • Indoor production/warehouse setting with varying temperatures and humidity levels typical of greenhouse environments.
  • Allergens present include:
    • Cannabis plant material and derivatives (may cause allergic reactions such as skin irritation, respiratory symptoms, or eye irritation).
    • Dust and particulate matter from plant handling and packaging materials.
    • Packaging materials (plastics, adhesives, inks, and labeling materials that may cause sensitivities).
    • Cleaning and sanitation agents.
  • GMP-aligned environment requiring cleanliness and organization.
  • Moderate noise levels and production-driven pace.
  • Personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required depending on the task.

Schedule

Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM. Some holidays required.
