Maintenance Technician
Your Role as a Maintenance Technician
As a Service Technician, you will work under the direction of the Maintenance Manager and Community Manager to complete service requests, preventative maintenance, and general repairs. This role plays a key part in maintaining the physical condition of the community while supporting service standards and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete service requests in a timely manner, prioritizing urgent issues and ensuring quality resolution
- Diagnose and repair maintenance issues, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, and general carpentry
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks and support scheduled inspections of building systems and equipment
- Absorb and assist with apartment make-readies and unit turnovers to support occupancy and readiness goals
- Maintain accurate documentation of completed work and communicate updates to leadership
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas in accordance with company standards
- Follow all safety guidelines, including OSHA and company policies
- Assist with vendor coordination and notify leadership when additional support is needed
- Participate in emergency response efforts and on-call rotations as required
- Communicate professionally with residents, vendors, and team members to support a positive experience
Our Ideal Candidate for this Role
Education
- High school diploma, GED, or an equivalent level of education and experience
Experience & Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in property maintenance
- Flexibility and availability for on-call duty and emergency repairs
Skills & Attributes
- Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general repairs
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to maintenance and safety
Preferred Certifications
- EPA certification preferred
- HVAC certification preferred
- Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification a plus
