About the Role
This position involves maintaining and optimizing ammonia refrigeration systems, ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance within a food processing environment.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and operate ammonia refrigeration systems, utilizing Logix for optimization.
- Develop and review task procedures, preventative maintenance, and SOPs.
- Perform maintenance on plant equipment to improve quality and yield.
- Complete documentation for Work Orders and PSM compliance.
- Adhere to environmental, health, and safety policies, including food safety guidelines.
- Participate in emergency response activities, including wearing respirators as needed.
Requirements
- Eligible to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship; 18+ years old; proficient in English.
- Ability to work outside regular hours, including weekends and off-shift.
- Must obtain Ammonia Refrigeration Systems Certification within one year.
- Electrical and mechanical aptitude; basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Participation in safety and emergency protocols.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in food processing maintenance, HVAC, boilers, or wastewater systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical systems up to 480 VAC.
- Experience with predictive maintenance technology, SAP, and technical blueprints.
- 2+ years of maintenance experience or technical college degree.
- Dependable and punctual.
