About the role

The Maintenance Technician position starts at $31.52 per hour. You will conduct machine setup, troubleshooting, repairs and provide preventive maintenance services.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production.
  • Prepare and set up machinery for scheduled production runs.
  • Use mechanic skills and familiar with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
  • Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
  • Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities.
  • Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions.
  • Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
  • Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
  • Participate in training and development programs including all areas of environmental, health and safety issues, especially those dealing with proper handling of hazardous materials and hazardous waste.
  • Handle scraps materials and disposable protective clothing containing lead which requires proper disposal as a hazardous waste, which are to be disposed of in appropriately marked hazardous waste containers.
  • Perform appropriate housekeeping tasks as needed.
  • Perform other responsibilities and duties assigned by manager.

Requirements

  • Achieve a passing score on the pre-employment assessment.
  • Previous manufacturing, industrial, or military experience.
  • A High School Diploma or equivalent, AA degree in mechanical, or industrial maintenance a plus.
  • 2+ years of manufacturing experience preferred but not required.
  • Experience as an auto tech, from technical/trade school, construction, plumber/plumbing, factory, etc will transfer to this position (you likely have used basic hand and power tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, hammers, drills, grinders, etc.).
  • Military training and/or experience encouraged.

Qualifications

  • Highly motivated and able to work independently.

Skills

  • Basic hand and power tool proficiency.
  • Reading and interpreting equipment manuals.
  • Working independently.

Pay

The starting hourly rate for the Maintenance Technician position is $31.52.

Schedule

This is a Night Shift position.
