Maintenance Technician

About the role

This position is considered a Maintenance Technician Position with a strong electrical mechanical emphasis.

Schedule

• Must be flexible to work either 2nd Shift: 3 pm–11 pm; or 3rd Shift: Sun 11 pm–7 am

Pay

• $37.10 hourly

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• 2–3 years of electro automation system installation and troubleshooting experience
• Operational knowledge of automated industrial machinery including motors, servos, pumps, drives, relays, 3-phase power, communication devices, industrial/electronic controls, and power transmission systems
• Understands hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Ability to install and set up both AC and DC drives
• PLC troubleshooting and problem-solving ability with practical mechanical and electrical aptitude
• Ability to read and interpret both electrical and mechanical drawings
• Working knowledge of encoders and various types of sensors
• Working knowledge of power transmission equipment, bearings, pneumatics, and hydraulics
• Basic welding skills
• Familiar with pumps, both air and electrical
• Ability to install and troubleshoot 3-phase motor control circuits
• Knowledge of various types of sensors and limit switches
• Performs other duties as assigned

Other Qualifications

• Must be computer literate with a willingness to contribute to the plant’s goal of producing optimum quality and outstanding service levels through effective teamwork

Education / Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Military training or technical school preferred
• 5 years in troubleshooting industrial electrical control systems down to component level
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to work flexible hours/non-traditional schedules and overtime as required
• Corrugated industry background is a plus, but not required
• Must be able to pass pre-employment physical, drug screen, and criminal background check
