Maintenance Technician

About the role

This position is for a Maintenance Welder/Maintenance Technician within the Specialty Mining Chemicals team, focused on performing welding, fabrication, and maintenance tasks to ensure plant equipment and infrastructure operate reliably and safely.

Responsibilities

• Read technical drawings
• Inspect and maintain welding tools
• Collaborate with teams to minimize downtime
• Adhere to safety protocols
• Maintain accurate work records
• Plan welding jobs and order materials
• Support continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements

• At least 2 years of welding experience in industrial settings
• Certification in AWS or equivalent
• Proficiency in TIG, MIG, and stick welding
• Ability to work with carbon steel and stainless steel

Physical requirements

• Lifting up to 50 lbs
• Climbing
• Repetitive motions
